As soon as this song kicks in, you'll no doubt recognize that punchy horn hook. This track from Ann Robinson (not her from The Weakest Link) was sampled by Fatboy Slim for his 1998 megahit 'Gangster Trippin'', a song which I was very keen on during the late 90's big beat explosion. I prefer this track a lot more. Amazing how much good music you can uncover through samples used in other songs...
‘You Did It’ is a Philadelphia funk tune originally released in 1969 on the All Brothers label. An instrumental version of the track was released as 'Sissy Walk' by the Freedom Now Brothers.
