Time for another edition of a brand new feature. While Track Of The Day brings you new music and Rewind takes you back 20 years, The Vault deals in amazing songs from random points in musical history. RW/FF will keep these posts short and sweet, with only a small bit of basic info. All you have to do is press play and enjoy.
The first time I heard this song, the main thing I immediately noticed was that Clinic used a portion of its chorus for their 1997 track 'Monkey On Your Back'. The terrifically catchy 'Get In The Swing' was taken from the American duo's 1975 album 'Indiscreet', which was produced by the legendary Tony Visconti. This single reached number 27 in the UK charts, while the album went to number 18. I went to see Sparks a few years ago in 2013, and my review of that gig can be found HERE.
The brass heard during this song was from the Ted Heath Orchestra, who also played ALL the music, including piano, on 'Looks, Looks, Looks.'
