Throughout this month we will be rewinding 20 years for a look at the great music of July 1998. I was 14 at the time, and many of these were songs that I remember well from that summer. First up is the first Sonic Youth track I ever heard, which entered the UK singles chart at number 72. I became interested in this band after learning that they were a big influence on Blur's self-titled 1997 album, which had been released the year prior to this. A relatively commercial effort by their usual standards, 'Sunday' was taken from their 10th album 'A Thousand Leaves' and came with a weird video featuring Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin.
