Folk legends the Levellers have announced the release of a new 'Greatest Hits' album. Although the band had previously released the 'Best Of' collection 'One Way Of Life' back in 1998, the new CD will feature all of the band's singles to date, plus some specially recorded collaborations with Billy Bragg, Frank Turner, Imelda May and Bellowhead. In support of the new collection the band will embark on a UK tour, with support from the brilliant She Makes War, and ska legends The Selector. The album will be available as a 2CD/DVD package, which will bring all the Levellers’ singles and videos together on one album for the first time. If you pre-order the album from HERE, you get your copy signed by the band. From the classic, chart-topping 1995 album 'Zeitgeist', here is the powerful, thought provoking 'Hope St', a number 12 UK hit single which will be featuring on the new compilation... A film entitled 'A Curious Life' is due for release this year, and is (in director Dunstan Bruce's words) "a feature documentary telling the story of the Levellers via the eccentric artist, archivist, whiskey loving bassist Jeremy Cunningham". Looking forward to that.
