An interesting programme on Radio 4 this morning: Lenny Henry presents a show called 'What's So Great About The Pogues?'. Apparently Lenny Henry has never seen the appeal of the folk-punk legends... To know what's so great about The Pogues just listen to the first three LPs, and it becomes obvious. Mark Radcliffe helpfully points out to Lenny "Obviously, if your favourite music is Luther Vandross, the vocal stylings of Shane MacGowan are going to be a leap of faith to say the least....".
Now let's ask a much more difficult question: What's so great about Lenny Henry?
