With another new album planned for release at some point this year, post-punk legends The Fall have been confirmed as one of the acts that will be playing at the second annual BBC 6Music Festival. The event will take place on Tyneside from February 20-22, and will also feature the likes of The Charlatans, Mogwai, Django Django, and many more.
I first heard The Fall when I bought the 'Touch Sensitive' single in the late 90's. I had not heard the song, but decided to spent 50p and take a chance on the CD single, and soon ended up becoming a fan when hearing a live version of 'Psycho Mafia' on the John Peel show in 2000. 'Touch Sensitive' can be found on the band's album 'The Marshall Suite', which was released in October 1999.
