A lot of people name either 'Grand Prix' or 'Bandwagonesque' as their favourite Teenage Fanclub album. I am in no doubt whatsoever that 1997's superb 'Songs From Northern Britain' is the one that will always stick with me the most, perhaps because it was the record that got me into the Scottish indie legends. 'Songs From Northern Britain' was their highest charting release in the UK and contained their biggest hit single to date, 'Ain't That Enough'. But here is a wonderful song that most bands would have picked as a single. Beautiful, tender and with a truly blissful string part, 'Planets' could melt even the coldest of hearts.
The band will be playing a special gig at the recently refurbished Kelvingrove Bandstand in Glasgow. More info HERE.
