A promising new band The Kayas, who released a fantastic single called 'I've Been Waiting' earlier this year have announced that they are splitting. In a statement on their Facebook page singer Ad Edwards said: ""Very Sad News People... The Kayas are no more!! Some things are just not meant to be. Im really sorry to let everyone down, its not what i wanted but unfortunately its happened and its out of my control. The Ironworks gig on the 4th Nov will still go ahead as an Ad Edwards Solo set. I then start recording my solo album in London in November."
The band were composed of:
Ad Edwards - Guitar, Vocals
Tomos Jarvis - Drums
Ian Smith - Bass

And some demos which were due to appear on the band's debut album. Sadly this will no longer be happening.

UPDATE APRIL 2012 - The Kayas have confirmed that they have reformed and will be re-recording their debut album for release later in the year... NEWS HERE.
