The Welsh anti-folk collective Quiet Marauder have just unveiled their excellent new single 'What What Happened To Science?', a bold and enticing track taken from their upcoming third LP 'The Crack And What It Meant'. The album will be released on the 26th of April. Out today via all digital download platforms, 'What Happened To Science' is accompanied by a music video produced by On Par Productions, reflecting on social media culture, while the track lyrically concerns growing distrust of science and facts.
A 30 track concept album, the LP describes "the emergence of a ‘Crack’ in time and space in the rural suburbs of Kent and the subsequent social panics, economic posturing, divisional blame games and global belief systems that arrive as a consequence". The record delivers "War Of The World synthscapes, pop-folk balladry, post-ironic show tunes and shuffling indie-rock; all tied together by the multiple underlying storylines". As well as the digital formats, the album will be available as a CD with illustrated booklet and cut-out sleeve.
