Northern Uproar launch PledgeMusic campaign

As previous reported here Northern Uproar are recording a live acoustic album early next year and the recording will be funded by fans via the PledgeMusic website. Today the band launched their campaign which you can now contribute towards, and in return for your money receive signed CDs, photos and other items.

"Well , What a great year it’s been for us..

In June we played our first show since 2008 to a sold out Vibe Bar in Brick Lane, London .. Since then it’s been all go, we’ve played another 10 or so shows in the UK and we’ve had some great audiences .. Thanks to everyone who has come out to see us this year !

The other great news is we’ve been writing a lot ! we can’t help it !.. Jeff always has a riff and Leon always seems to have a melody ..
We are getting ready to record what will be our 4th Album in 2012 and are looking forward to working with the wonderful people at PledgeMusic to bring the album plus lots more to you ..

But first , as a thank you to friends and fans, and because it’ll be a lot of fun , we’re going to make a live acoustic album .. We’ve been asked about doing this for years and now seems like a good time .

So , it’s a live show to be recorded at the end of January at a ‘secret’ venue in Greater Manchester , we are gonna give a free ticket to the first 50 people to pledge for a download of the album .
As well as the download pledgers will also be able to get all kinds of extras including signed CD’s , signed limited edition prints by long time NU photographer Karin Albinsson , original promo posters for the first album and loads more..
Pledgers will also get access to loads of free content including updates on the making of the live album , interviews , extra tracks and live footage ..

A great part of the PledgeMusic thing is that we get to help a Charity by donating part of the money raised – we’ve chosen Macmillan Cancer Support as it’s obviously such a great cause and something that effects us all .
So , we’re looking forward to doin’ it ! We’ll be playing songs from all 3 albums plus some rarities , and of course , a couple of new songs !
