REWIND: Livin' Joy - 'Don't Stop Movin''

More wonderful music from 1996 as RW/FF takes you aboard a musical TARDIS on a journey through musical history. If you weren't around or were too young to remember the mid 90s, consider this a lesson of enlightenment. If you (like me) were lucky enough to experience it all first time around, then these posts make a fine nostalgic blast from the blast.

This time it's another dance classic from 20 years ago. Italian house act Livin' Joy first caught my attention with their 1995 hit 'Dreamer', which was number 1 for a while. It's follow-up 'Don't Stop Movin'' was their finest moment, and reached number five on the UK Singles Chart and also number one in Italy. The group consisted of brothers Paolo and Gianni Visnadi (who were also members of Alex Party) and singer Tameka Starr. The group had a number of other UK top 20 hits, all of which featured on an album also called 'Don't Stop Movin''. Livin' Joy had planned to release a second album in 1999, but these plans were scrapped due to a lack of interest and the group went their separate ways. However that shelved second album 'Just For The Sex Of It' can be found online.
