PREVIEW: Frank Turner - Tape Deck Heart - new album

Following a year that saw a headline sold out Wembley Arena and a performance at the London Olympics Opening Ceremony, Winchester-born folk/punk hero Frank Turner starts 2013 by announcing the title, tracklisting and release date for his forthcoming album, plus details of a short run of UK headline shows.

On 22nd April 2013 Frank will release ‘Tape Deck Heart’, his highly anticipated fifth studio album through Xtra Mile Recordings. Produced and mixed by Rich Costey (Muse, Weezer, Rage Against the Machine, Interpol) ‘Tape Deck Heart’ is the follow-up to 2011’s ‘England Keep My Bones’ which has sold over 100,000 copies worldwide.

Frank explains further: “So, friends, the time is finally upon us! My new record is called ‘Tape Deck Heart’. There will be two versions - the normal record, and then a special edition with special packaging and an extra six songs. I'm pleased as punch with it. Some of you will know some of the songs from us playing them live, but there's a whole bunch of new stuff on there as well. I hope you like it!”
