US label Lookout! Records has officially closed its doors.
The independent punk label, which was founded in 1987, stopped officially releasing new music in 2006, but now it has finally been announced that the label has completely ceased business.
Former Lookout! Records artist Ted Leo announced the shut down of the label on his website Tedleo.com. He said: "Our beloved Lookout! Records, which ceased releasing new material in 2006, but carried on keeping the catalog in print until this past December, has, sadly, shuttered its windows for good."
The label released Green Day's first two albums - '39/Smooth' and 'Kerplunk' along with records by Operation Ivy, The Donnas, Avail, Screeching Weasel, The Queers, The Mr. T Experience and Citizen Fish.
