LIVE REVIEW: The Fall - Frome Cheese And Grain, May 2010 - PLUS VIDEOS

So after discovering The Fall in the late 90's-early 2000's through the same place most discovered them (Peel) it was quite a few years before I got round to watching them live. That memorable experience finally came in May 2010 when they played a number of shows in support of the excellent 'Your Future Our Clutter' LP. The night began with a bizarre support group called Doctor Nut who play medieval prog punk, before the crowd regathered to see The Fall. It's fair to say I didn't quite know what to expect, and when the band's mind-bending intro video came on it was an odd experience. I expected this odd video of morphed faces and looped heavy distorted audio to end soon and the band to come to the stage, but more of these extraordinary films were played for what seemed like an hour while the crowd were subject to a barrage of thundering white noise. If any readers know information about these films and who created them, get in touch.

Anyway Mark E. Smith and his band eventually appeared and played an incredible show. Here are some videos I filmed...
